the weed called buses

today, I have made 4 bus journeys. that doesn't seem too bad considering it takes 2 bus journeys each way for me to get to school but today it was to town then from town, then back in to town then back from town. then what's worse is that there was only an hour's intermission between arriving home the first time then going back in to town, which makes my mum and myself seem like such materialists!

anyway, the buses. I live in Birmingham which is home to the 11 route and the 50. the 11 is the outer circle and the largest bus route in Europe. the 50 is also the most frequent bus route in the country and apparently Birmingham buses are the cleanest buses in the country. yet, as a frequent user of TWM (Travel West Midlands) I can confirm that all the regular users of the buses can do is complain!

the problem with public transport, to be honest, is that the public use it! I once stuck my thumb in some chewing gum that was stuck to a seat >.<

the weed called socks

from feet to footwear! considering yesterday's entry I thought this a rather appropriate continuation.

Despite the fact that it is currently August, my feet have been freezing all day so my feet have been wrapped in my thickest, fluffiest, woolliest socks. and despite the socks, if you feel my feet (if you don't have an aversion to feet, dear reader) then you'd find that they're still freezing! this begs the question, do socks actually work?

another advantage to these socks are that, in my house the entire downstairs is either wooden flooring or tiles which allows the wearer of fluffy socks to slide around until the sock wearer's heart is content :)

the weed called feet

sorry about the lack of posts. there's nothing wrong with minor neglecting after a long period of exams, is there? sorry for not posting anything for a while, dear readers, I just haven't had anything non-exam related to say!

by default, people generally have two feet (which can be reduced to one or none due to circumstance) but in general, people have them. People can also apparently have insufficient feet. now, as far as I'm concerned, as long as you have feet that can be walked on, feet are sufficient but apparently if you have too much or too little fat on your feet then you have insufficient feet which seems absurd due to the fact that as long as you are able to walk on them then surely they are sufficient!

I know some people who have an aversion to feet. One of these people happened to be my dance teacher so it was unfortunate that she had to check our feet to make sure that our ballet shoes fitted every so often! I confess that I don't really understand aversion to feet (wrists on the other hand...) but feet, other than my cheesy smelly ones are beyond me!
