I ought to start with an apology to the person who's identity I have stolen. and the term person is very loose indeedy. so I'm sorry Shino! I'll give you a mouse and a tin of that food you like to make up for it!
Shino is indeed, the name of my cat. I have 2 cats, Shino and Roxy. they are sisters and are only 9 months old so they need to be neutered and they are going to be neutered on Monday. I kinda feel sorry for them. I'm much older than them and I've never been under the knife and they're having an operation at 9 months!
I named my cat the cat of death by accident. I heard that shino was Japanese for elegant so I thought "great, I'll name her elegant cat!" so I named her so. then a few weeks later when I was playing with her, my boyfriend (who doesn't study Japanese) said to me "you know shino means death, yeah?" that was embarassing to say the least, especially considering that I study Japanese.
mum tells people that she's called the cat of love. Shino really suits her though :)
